Senior C++ Engineer for GNSS Applications (Italy)

Qascom is looking for a Software Engineer within the Aerospace & Defence domain, based in our office in Bassano del Grappa (Italy). The candidate will join the Signal Intelligence Engineering Unit, involved in engineering activities supporting major National and International projects in the frame of interference detection, classification and location, as well as the development of interference management services/platforms.
The candidate shall support the unit leading the development and the evolution of several products from the technical point of view.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs and optimize existing software products.
- Produce software engineering documentation under proper responsibility.
- Review and estimate engineering workload requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate ITTs and to prepare BIDs.
Required skills
- Master’s degree in computer engineering/science or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as software engineer/developer.
- Excellent knowledge of software engineering, best practices and design patterns.
- Strong proficiency in C++ (e.g., C++11, C++14).
- Good knowledge of CMake
- Experience in deploying multi-platform software (Windows/Linux)
- Experience in system design and integration, including components selection and
configuration of sub-systems. - Experience in automated testing frameworks (GTest, Catch2 or similar) and version control (Git).
