Earlier this year I started reviewing a few C++ books from Packt, followed by an interview with the author. Now Packt has released a humble bundle with a total of 22 books in it, which is a great deal for getting more or less a C++ library of ebooks.

For 6 of these books I've done an interview with the author(s):

I've also reviewed "Hands on Machine Learning with C++", but we couldn't find a time slot for the interview. While some of the other books are well known for years, like Software Architecture with C++ is the second most viewed book on Meeting C++. One book I've done an interview for and that is not included is LLVM Code Generation, which is a great book - but very specialized and not really about learning C++ as much as understanding LLVM.

So overall, I think that this is a great deal. You're likely not going to read all these books, but its a great opportunity for you to add these to your knowledge base, for when you'll need that knowledge. Some of these books may also help you then decide if you'd like to get the printed version.

Regarding the book quality, the ones I've reviewed were all making an effort to give you good C++ examples and show you how to learn C++. With C++ standardization becoming a fast moving target the quality of C++ books is a mixed bag, thats why I first review a book to decide then if its worth the time to do an interview. And so far these books are mostly new releases and they do have the needed quality that featuring the book and the author in an interview at Meeting C++ made sense.

Also I want to be transparent, Packt does not pay me for the interviews or this post. But I think for this price its a real opportunity for many of you to grab a literal C++ book library in digital form for you or your team. So let me be frank: getting the full bundle is the best deal.

And let me plug Meeting C++ 2025, which features two book authors from this bundle giving talks:
