Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer for GNSS (Italy)

Qascom is looking for a Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer within the Aerospace & Defence domain.
The resource will be based in our office in Bassano del Grappa (Italy). The candidate will join the Advanced Navigation Unit, involved in the development of new position and navigation technologies for drones, satellites and railways.
The main product of the Advanced Navigation Unit is a dual-frequency multi-constellation GNSS SDR (Software Defined Radio) Receiver based on a Zynq-7000 SoC. The receiver is completely designed and developed by Qascom.
Responsibilities
- Design, development and test of real-time software in C++, in the domains of: GNSS receivers, signal and navigation processing.
- Support the Advanced Navigation team in the adoption of software safety and security standards for Space, Rail, Aviation
- Maintain and update the software, documentation, and configuration.
- Support to Technical management of software projects, involving interactions with customers (major aerospace industries and space agencies)
Required skills
- Master’s degree in computer science, software, or telecommunication engineering
- 5y+ years of experience as software developer (3y+ years on embedded devices)
- knowledge of software engineering, best practices and design patterns
- knowledge of real time operating systems (i.e: FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, RTEMS)
- Experience with testing frameworks (i.e: GTest, Catch2, Boost.Test, Unity) and TDD
- knowledge of CMake, C and Modern C++ (mainly C++14)
- knowledge of Git
- Experience with static and dynamic analysis tools (clang-tidy, cppcheck, asan, ubsan, tsan, ...)
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Zynq Architecture
- Experience with Linux driver development
