A fundraiser for Meeting C++

In two weeks Meeting C++ is hosting a 24h++ event as a fundraiser for Meeting C++ itself.

As an organization, Meeting C++ draws most of its funding from the conference. Which has worked out pretty well for the last decade. But things have changed and I'm starting to look into different ways of funding my work.

So for 2025 there are now 3 different ways you can support my work, the best is to buy a ticket for the 24h++ event, as this is then mostly directly adding to the funding of Meeting C++. Plus you get to hang out for two days with lots of other devs and speakers from Meeting C++ 2025.

Another option I'm exploring is selling calendars, you can get your own Meeting C++ 2026 calendar now. I hope to make this a yearly thing, if these calendars sell, I could invest in making a pure C++ version and see if that sells. For now the calendar features my own nature photography, which you also can find more of in my other etsy store falterverwalter. You can also visit the official merchandise store, to get your own official Meeting C++ merchandise. Unfortunately I can't have one store for calendar + merch.

For some time my own goal has been to rely less on the funding from the conference, but so far that has not worked out. Companies are getting so many candidates through other means already, that coming to the job fair seems not to be an option for most anymore. If they hire at all right now.

For 2026 Meeting C++ now has to change, and focus more on commercial work and content.
