As Meeting C++ 2025 is two weeks away, you've got a make the decision to attend in person or online - or let this opportunity pass.
The hot topic of Meeting C++ 2025 is C++ and safety. We kick off with Anthony Williams opening keynote on Safety and Software, followed by a program that has many talks about the topic. This spans from writing safer C++ with constexpr to the new safety aspects in C++26, we'll have a quick glance at Rust, hacking and securing C++ and back to the real problem of C++. The conference will then close with James McNellis giving the closing keynote about his experience with safety in C++ in the field.
This year features in total 5 Tracks with 55 talks for you to choose from, all tickets include after conference video access. So attending online or onsite gives you also access to a great archive of C++ knowledge after the conference. This year the sponsors of Meeting C++ have made the 5th Track possible, and we might feature this track in the future again. But so far you should see this as a unique opportunity to get 25% more content out of a Meeting C++ ticket than you used to get. You should invest into having your skills be up to date.
This year isn't the easiest, as I know that some companies simply did freeze the budgets for trainings or travel. Meeting C++ offers you with the online tickets still a good opportunity to take part in the conference. Attending onsite will unlock lots of conversations and in person contacts for you and your career.
Meeting C++ as an organization draws its funding from the conference to serve the community for more then 10 years this has worked out. I see that times are changing and that the overall market in which Meeting C++ exists is in a transition. If you want to support my work, buying a ticket through your employer is the easiest way. You'll get 3 days of C++ fun and many hours of great talks as videos out of it.
